Mauritius – The Island of Contrasts

Mauritius is one of the absolute best destinations for those who want to enjoy good hotels, good food and really good golf! With no time difference and pleasant weather all year round, you can visit Mauritius at any time – hotels are often generous with special prices during the summer season and for wedding couples!

We have tailored a proposal with flights, private transfer between airport and hotel and 7 nights on beautiful Long Beach – a 4 * hotel on the eastern part of the island including half board. The hotel has 4 restaurants, fitness center, SPA, several pools and if you are a golfer, golf is also included on Ile aux Cerfs – including transfers.

Mauritius is truly an island of contrasts with little time difference and cultural diversity has something for everyone! From luxurious All Inclusive with golf, SPA and opulence to small quiet hotels in cozy Grand Baïe – excursions to sugar plantations, waterfalls or sailing trips at sunset … In the east, south and west the large luxury hotels dominate where you enjoy all inclusive, golf and wonderful spa treatments within the hotel grounds. To the north is the picturesque village of Grand Baïe with hotels in all price ranges and an infrastructure that makes it easy to thrive. Here you will find shopping and restaurants as well as a very beautiful coastal strip. The capital Port Louis is a bustling little city with odd shops and street markets. The city’s attractions include Port Louis Bazaar – a local market with all kinds of food and spices and Mauritian Chinatown.

Best travel period

The seasons in South Africa are the opposite of the Swedish ones. As the country is very large and has several climate zones, it can be visited at any time depending on what you are looking for. Summer is hot all over the country, winter is pleasant with balmy, sunny days and cold nights. To the south it can rain and blow a bit during the winter.

Mauritius works to go all year round – they have their summer (high season) during November-April and winter (low season) May-October. During the summer, the climate is a bit wetter and there can be intense but usually short rain showers and in some cases even tropical hurricanes. The winter is cooler and drier.
